CrabSO is part of Chesapeake Stem Connections, a 501(c)(3) registered Maryland based nonprofit dedicated to supporting up and coming middle school Science Olympiad teams in Maryland. All proceeds from CrabSO are being processed by Chesapeake Stem Connections and will be reinvested back into Chesapeake Stem Connections endeavors such as financially supporting Maryland teams, providing workshops, and funding future in-person competitions.

Sahana is a senior at River Hill High School in Clarksville, Maryland. This is her 7th year in Science Olympiad and she specializes in Microbe Mission, Disease Detectives, Codebusters, and Anatomy and Physiology. Her favorite Science Olympiad memory is participating in Nationals for the first time in 2022–and winning two medals!

Ananya

Ananya is a junior at River Hill High School in Clarksville, Maryland. This is her 6th year in Science Olympiad. She specializes in Forensics, Astronomy, Geologic Mapping, and Forestry. Her favorite Science Olympiad experiences include participating in the 2022 and 2023 National tournaments and travelling to Kansas to compete.

Reema is a freshman neuroscience major at University of Maryland, College Park. She has extensive experience in Science Olympiad, having competed since seventh grade. She has primarily focused on life science events such as Anatomy and Physiology, Microbe Mission, and Entomology. Reema has also participated in a variety of events such as Green Generation, Heredity, and Ornithology. She is passionate about exploring different STEM fields and values the collaborative team environment. Among her favorite Science Olympiad memories are exploring unique campuses with cutting-edge labs, including Princeton and Johns Hopkins University, with her teammates.

Anna is a junior at Atholton High School in Columbia, Maryland. She has been involved in Science Olympiad for 3 years, focusing on events such as Disease Detectives, Codebusters, and Astronomy. Some of her favorite experiences include exploring college campuses and spending time with friends during competition breaks.

This is his 4th year in Science Olympiad, and he specializes in Experimental Design, Codebusters, Engineering CAD, Robot Tour, and Electric Vehicle. His favorite Science Olympiad memory is participating in Nationals for the first time in 2025.

Aadarsh is a senior at Mt. Hebron High School in Ellicott City, Maryland. He’s been in Science Olympiad for 4 years and does Detector Building, Robot Tour, Fermi Questions, and Electric Vehicle. He finds it very funny when his friends are panicking and making last minute adjustments to their builds because they had no idea what they were doing.

Chloe is a sophmore computer science major at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She has been involved with Science Olympiad for the past 8 years. She specialized in build events (and Game On) as a competitor, and now ESes for build events and assorted inquiry events (sadly no Game On). Her last-minute-build tool of choice remains a hot glue gun to this day, though recent innovations with packing tape are quickly closing the distance… 🤔
